Me too--only not as a matter of preference--being deaf I don't have an option. But it's interesting how screen readers are so efficient....but voice-to-text just the opposite. In the 1990s speech recognition software was hot--anyone remember Dragon? Learner & Hauspie?--they promised the world--and I lost a boatload of money on them, lol. The software is a lot better today, but lacks easy integration into hosting platforms--I wonder if any of our pet companies might be scaling access technologies into cross-platform management?
Hi Joe - I am starting to include written transcripts for each podcast episode starting with today's mini episode. They are automated transcripts. So please excuse any errors in the written document. Hope this helps and thanks for the input. Feedback like yours enables me to improve this publication. Cheers!
Thank you! There will always be errors in AI transcripts, but there's usually enough context that we can read through them--I appreciate the care you put into making it happen and wish more Substack podcasts did likewise.
Thanks! If you have not done so yet... try their inbuilt audio reader in the Substack app. It’s very good and you can listen to all substack posts including written content. I use it all the time while on the go.
I would suggest to have the written version also for people like me, I prefer reading. Thanks 👍

Great job on the podcast! Detailed and informative, especially the convenience of listening in the car.
